C & I Billing

Sage EMS now supports a full retail billing solution for Commercial & Industrial Customers (with plans to extend this support for mass-market retail customers).

Core billing support includes tracking of billing related exceptions (e.g. data requested but not available or complete), tracking of billing status to support detection of unbilled consumption, tracking of meter data changes vs. billing cycle to detect updated reads that may require look-back or cancel-re-bill billing.

Aggregation of interval data for virtual basic billing, or simply into consumption tariff components performs at rates greater than 20,000 customers per hour.

Our billing solution supports billing of retail and network tariffs, pool pass through billing, billing for charges such as metering, ancillary services, environmental charges, green energy - in fact any charge that a retail may want to bill a customer.

Adjustments (caused by changes in metering or configuration) can be handled as adjustment line items, or via a cancel / re-bill cycle.  Adjustments can be automatically applied to subsequent bills, or presented for manual review, where users can choose to apply the adjustment to the next bill, hold the adjustment (pending additional changes), write-off the adjustment or initiate a cancel / re-bill cycle.

Sage EMS includes receipting and accounts receivable functions to support billing, and sophisticated interfaces with financials solutions to track expenses, receivables, income and (with NEMMCO and NUoS Invoice Reconcilation) payables.

Sage EMS Billing supports a comprehensive set of rules to generate invoices for customers (including consolidated customer groups), and a rules engine that allow both automatic invoice delivery via the customer's preferred delivery format(s) including e-billing, as well as manual review of invoices before release.
