Sage Utility Systems is a software development and consulting company that specialises in the construction of meter data and retail systems to support contestability for utilities.

Although Sage is a small, young company, our principals have eighteen years combined experience assisting Australian NEM participants prepare for, enter, and succeed in the National Electricity Market.

Over the last ten years, Sage principals have scoped, designed, developed, and implemented Billing, Metering, Connection Point Management, Settlement Reconciliation, MSATS Gateway, Distribution Load Planning and Trading Support systems for several participants in the NEM.

Sage has a focus of assisting our clients to select and implement the most efficient solution - and has a track record of designing cost-effective and people-effective solutions.  We understand the systems architecture for a successful NEM participant is an integrated architecture, and we understand that the integration design process is one that should deliver the most cost effective solution.

We have a particular strength in rapidly and cost effectively interfacing with core systems such as Billing, Customer Information & CRM, Trading and Analytical Systems.  In particular, we have a track record of transparently interfacing with existing systems in such a way that there are no changes required to the existing systems.

Sage has most recently successfully completed a metering and settlements system replacement for one of the largest Australian retailers who doubled in size with a recent acquisition.  Like all implementations that Sage principals have managed, this was completed on time and on budget.  Sage is now enhancing our Sage EMS system to create an end-to-end retail solution and implementing this solution for a new independent retailer.

Sage's EMS System is a highly scalable solution proven to support the volumes associated with a mass roll-out of interval meters.
